Rigorous Curriculum Cohort
The Kummer Center for STEM Education is proud to announce the open-sourced, free 6th-8th grade science curriculum.
The Kummer Center for Stem Education presented the first Rigorous Curriculum Cohort in the summer of 2022. It was a focus on 6th-8th grade science with a unique collaborative opportunity to write develop systematic curriculum with STEM-focused units of instruction. This cohort also includes coaching and feedback in the classroom as well as collaboration and networking across districts in Missouri. This has been such a huge success verified by actual Missouri teachers with increased standardized test scores.
To access the curriculum, you must click on the link below to watch the video and complete the assessment. It should take approximately one hour to complete. Once you have completed the assessment, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the curriculum within five business days. This curriculum was a collaboration with middle school teachers across the state of Missouri and facilitated by Connie Cromwell, Courtney Jones, and Marsha Smith. All of the curriculum is based on Missouri Learning Standards.
