The Kummer Center for STEM Education is offering an entirely new after-school experience for up to 100 of Phelps County's future innovators—completely free.

FREE After-School Enrichment
Thanks to grant funding through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, this program is completely free for families.

Hands-on ASTEM Activities Every Day
Our project-based, interactive curriculum engages students in a variety of activities, including manufacturing components, robotics, Future City challenges, microscopy, and more!

Qualified, Expert Staff
The program is led by Susan Reisner, a state-certified math expert with a Master of Science in Education. Susan and her team have all completed comprehensive background checks to ensure a safe learning environment for your child.

Transportation
All Phelps County students are eligible to participate in this program; however, school district bus transportation is currently only available for Rolla and Newburg students. All parents are responsible for picking up their children by 6:00 p.m. on program days.

Safe, Supervised Environment
As a fully licensed child care provider, we adhere to strict safety standards. Our staff follows structured sign-in/sign-out protocols, clear communication procedures, and emergency plans to ensure your child’s safety at all times.

Access to Academic Support
As part of our program, Missouri S&T students provide homework help and tutoring to support your child’s academic growth before they participate in the day’s ASTEM activities.

Open to K-12 Students in Phelps County
The program is offered during the school year to students from Rolla, Newburg, Phelps County R-III, and St. Patrick schools, as well as Phelps County homeschool students.
